| At last, finally got the chop through the LVV certification process and now we're all legal and ready to go. Its an old Yamaha FJ1100 engine and running gear. It's certainly no show winner, but I've had it for ages and went everywhere on it in the UK. Nice to have it back and enjoy those wonderful smooth NZ roads on a hardtail!! Just need to sort out my insurance...any recommendations on who will insure a modified? My other standard bike is with Kiwibike, so waiting for a quote from them.

| Nice work and a good looking ride those FJ1100 engines are bulletproof. Insurance is unfortunately a necessary evil, I have found them all to be at best a pack of ratbags ... the least problematic in my experience is Protecta (who I am still with), I'm not sure on there policy regarding fully customised machines but it wouldn't hurt to contact them. 0800 776 832 www.protectainsurance.co.nzGood luck and stay upright, V11 Max | |

| Cheers guys. Got a decent quote from Protecta, but Kiwibike added it to my existing policy for a small fee. Now all I need to do is find time to get out there and ride it ! | |
