PostSubject: couple of builds   couple of builds EmptySat May 08, 2010 6:56 pm

hey. heres a couple of pics of whats going on in my shed. the rigid has been in the make for a year and a half. started out with the frame and slowly got wheels and shit of trade me to make a roller. i had some tins lying round from other bikes so they got put to good use. i was going to do a quick rough ish build but ending up finding the evo with bullshit knuckle tops on which was way nice so i ended up making it pretty. I have done all assembly and paint etc myself.
its a 200/18 rear, deuce 2 over front end. keg oil bag and battery box, friscod penut. its running late model controls that i scored for $50 of some fulla who swaped out for chrome. 2" primary drive,6 speed.

I had a good look over the shovel at the Blowout. Absolutely beautiful. I realy like the way the Evo turned out. Love the pipes. We'll definitely have to get all our bikes out on the road and show people how it should be done.
Went over to a mate's earlier tonight and he said there were a load of chops and bobbers out at one of the pubs near here today. Things are looking up.

Hey, trust the shocks sort the sporty for you, and your other bikes, I’m sure the pictures don’t do them justice....

Looking forward to some weekend skids about the place...

hey irish thanks. the pipes were of a don morrison rigid i did a few years back. they are perfect for this build tucking in sweet around the trans. they don't work with the fake generator cover but im leaving that of(only so much fake shit's allowed before you get beaten up i reakon) and besides the indian larry points cover is way to cool to leave of.

jon the shocks are sweet. i had some solid struts but that top shock mount was giving me the shits. iwas freaking about it breaking with my wife or mate riding it. my frame is not to far of anyway so i'll swap it all over over winter.
looking forward to some rides also, i have a couple of mates with bikes keen as to.
cheers

No it was that micro brewery on the way out to Riverhead. I might head out there next Saturday to check it out.

am keen for hallertau sometime soon too very local for me.I have seen that group of bobber guys a few times now screaming past my place wondered who they were,be good to see them when they eventually park up.I wondered if one of the bikes was that xvs1100 dragstar that an asian guy bought off Marcell/shape shifter ??

Not sure but I think one was that stretched single downtube Sporty chop and the matt black heritage that runs around with it. I have seen them up at Puhoi.

Orb told me about a group of guys that have choppers & bobbers etc that go for rides about the place on weekends; mostly Saturdays from what I gather... pretty sure the guys name is Ray... Orb is going to give me his details so we can meet up sometime...

If you see this tread and know, give us a holler...

Maybe it’s them, maybe not? But there must be heaps of these bikes and groups of guys out there; we will meet some of them in our travels....

Gosh, that’s almost poetic, where is a Dave Mann picture...

Can’t wait.
