| As I have decided to sell some bikes next spring so I can replace them with even older pieces of crap, I am going to get back into this Evo build. I'll start with some of the old pics first just to remind people what it is. Basically its as cheap a build as I can get it, apart from the motoe that I built from the crank case up. I actually bought the brand new Delcron case off a guy in Manakau 13 years ago. That makes it my oldest unfinished bike. Must be a record. The frame is an end of line (cheap) Kraft Tech frame. Great welding and just as cheap asd I could have had one made locally. FRont end is off my old Twincam Softail. Rearwheel is the hub off our old Sportster laced to a very beaten $20 rim off Trademe. Wouldn't even start to sugest what type of bike it is so I'll just call it a rigid Harley. _________________ IRISHJON Serial Bike Abuser

| y'know i personally think the Harley evo motor is one of the great motors of all time. -not as old or classic as a shovel, but they still sound pretty good -reliable -and they helped keep Harley in existence it's just my 10cents worth but I think a carburetted evo motor is a great piece of machinery. I think in my age bracket and era that motor somehow has made an impression on my psyche sorry enuf sentimental blabbering |

| I'm waiting for some parts to finish off the Ironhead so I spent some time on the Evo this weekend. Reshaped the British rear fender I picked up in Melbourne ages ago so it would fit the 16" wheel. Started bending some 0.5" round bar for the struts and made a little twin mount at the back of the oil tank. Also made up some new front brackets for the oil tank. Its all sitting on there nice and strong now. Just needs bent around a liitle to make sure its all straight and then cut some decent wheel spacers at night tech. _________________ IRISHJON Serial Bike Abuser

| This needs tidying up and all of it needs to be finish welded at some stage. It bolts up from underneath. _________________ IRISHJON Serial Bike Abuser

| Yeah. That one's pretty cool. I'm beginning to like the look of this one being rough but I bought some bright red Holden paint a while ago so its going to get that as soon as it warms up and I have some old tank badges with the chrome strips that run the length of the tank. I like the Evo motor but I want to make the bike look old and not like a modern chop. The fact that I can't mount anything straight and that my welding is crap seems to help with that. _________________ IRISHJON Serial Bike Abuser

| Thanks Andrew. Might do that if I get a bit more done on it. Actually there's not a lot more to do. _________________ IRISHJON Serial Bike Abuser
