not just b4 labour weekend?
what is it again? vn800? is it carb or injected?
is there anything that you have changed from standard with the air intake, fuel supply, or electrics?

some ideas
dirt or water in carb (clean out bowl or put thru some cleaner)
faulty electrics somewhere, HT lead/leads, wiring, battery dying, loose earth?
clogged air cleaner
most probs are either fuel, air,or electric related so try and figure which one of those 3 it might be
my 1st guess would be something to do with the carb
if you do a google search (vn800 stalling & other keywords) you might find something, or see if there's a forum for those bikes, & search the forum

turns out a common problem with the vn's was the saftey switch on the kick stand fuck'n out . trick is to join the wires together and she's all swt easy fix. the other problem the have is all the bullshit emision crap rip that off and you get a rather noticable horsepower increase so thats the job for today.
