Baffle Packing Empty
PostSubject: Baffle Packing   Baffle Packing EmptyTue Nov 02, 2010 12:54 am

I was reading something today that claimed using some sort of packing around a baffle gives you less clatter and more roar from an exhaust.

What do people think?

And what material is being used to pack the baffles?

I'm about to try wrapping fibreglass some baffles and then wiring it on. That's pretty much what was in my old 2 strokes in the 70's. We used to have to cut it off and re-wrap it after a while when it got all coked up.

i made some baffles for the sporty and you can buy proper fiberglass same as they use in the coby/resinators and also perferated tube fot the middle in different sizes
i got the small pack ov f/glass and only used a bout half ov it pretty cheap also round 30-40$ with 1/2 meter ov perf tube i think Suspect
it made a suprisingly big difference also
if you cant find any i can supply it for ya but would have to double check the price alien

the usual trick that the fellas back in the day did was pack steel wool in there. pak n save - goldilocks brand. i recommend the plain steel wool, not the stuff with the detergent in it.
