Paul's Shovel Empty
PostSubject: Paul's Shovel   Paul's Shovel EmptyMon Nov 28, 2011 8:46 pm

So I sold the Sporty last week, some nice guy from Auckland made the trip to Tauranga with his buddy and a ute. After a quick test ride a fair price was negotiated, away they drove with my bike.

Of course I'd already been looking for a new ride for when the bike sold and had a few guys to call stateside once I had cash in hand.
To cut a long story short I secured a 1978 FLH from a guy in LA, just sorting out importation now.
Seems pretty tidy, can't wait to see it!

Paul

Cheers Irish, I'm ashamed to say (on the grease monkey forum) that I'm just going to get it legal and ride the wheels off it. I really like how it looks as it is (I reckon FLH's are the Cadillac of bikes), maybe just clean up the bars, internal throttle etc.
You guys going to Kumeu next year?

Apparently its the last year they will have it at Kumeu. Something about the sponsor putting their money somewhere else. Anyway, we're definitely camping there next year. Don't blame you about the bike either, but they all end up getting changed in some way eventually. Hopefully I'll have my shovel out sometime this summer.
