| Hey Ben. Good to see another Westie. The Wellington Crew were starting to outnumber us. Looking forward to seeing the bike. Those Viragos are srating to get popular as bobbers. | |

| that's a very cool triumph. I'll give you my experience, it's not the same for everyone, and you may have a different experience & perception to mine, but i'll just give it anyway, disregard it or do what u like with it! i started riding jappas in the 200-400cc range in my late teens & early 20's. Then I had time out until my 30's. That's when i tried jap cruisers like intruders & viragos. Then i had a triumph chopper. That had a completely rebuilt motor that started out oiltight but after not much riding leaked oil like anything. The motor always sounded like a bucket of bolts to me. It went ok tho. Apparently the triumph case edges were machined/polished in such a way that led to them leaking, but also some people say the actual cases themselves become porous. (The brit fanatics might correct me on that - Im no expert on the things). Then i got an ironhead sportster. No other bike was like that. That was it for me. I found what i was looking for. An agricultural tractor-like bike that has gear changes that go 'clunk'. It didnt leak oil tho (was a '76). Ive now got an evo sporty cos i wasnt into kick starting a 1000cc motor anymore. The gears are still quite clunky. So that's where i ended up. Im 47 now & had this sporty since early 06. | |

| i know what it's like. I lost my license no less than 3 times 'back in the day' What turned me back to bikes in my 30's was that I owned & drove a taxi for a couple of years. That time made me get so bored with driving cars. And Im still like that now. If the car is fast it helps a bit, but still nowhere near how i feel riding. | |

| You'll need two. An Evo to be reliable and an Ironhead to be cool | |
