Well as I said, I really only work on the bike when it's needed or I'm waiting for parts.

So any guesses what I'm working on while I'm waiting for new rubber for the wheels?

You’ve got space around your bike, or was that just to take the photo, moved it all into the lounge aye! cheers

Good job you’ve got going on there, those jacks are handy...

Posters are out of focus, other than that... yep, a good tease! lol!

Cool

Yeah, theres space for 2-4 people to work around a bike in my workshop. More if you open up the door, and space for one at the workbench. That's only if it's tidy though.

Nearly wall to wall and ceiling of posters. Going to get some black concrete paint to do the floor, and paint the hardware and shelves red. And paint the main door white, as it's dirty aluminum blandness at moment.

Mufflers off so I'd say a new set of pipes. Try walking round 12 bikes in your garage. Bugger to fit 3 people in there Laughing

There was a whole big discussion on that last year. Cheapest I got was Repco. Dearest was Deus but there was someone on TradeMe with a pretty good price a while ago. Worth checking again. Rene may know someone as well.

Cool. Will look into it. Just want something tidier than some 2inch stainless pipe I've fitted on.

I’ve got stainless cable ties, with a ball bearing thingie lock in them... and a tool for locking up tight and cutting excess flap off... nice & works a treat. There is no brand on it... Had it ages for work, think it came from one of those stainless nut & bolt places...

Any one wants to use it, feel free but I’m on the shore...

I was just going to use some hose clamps that I can grab from work.

I've seen bikes in various mags who use them, and I rather liked the silverish ring they make around the exhaust.

I've always used ordinary hose clamps but the skinny stainless ones look better on there.

Getting machining done today for the new exhaust...

Then its time to cut up the stock exhaust so the new mufflers fit.

Nearing the point of no return!

Here's praying I don't end up needing to buy a new stock exhaust set.

Now... where did I put that damn wheel spacer in the mean time....?

Not yet. While it'd be nice to have everything here and ready, I've decided to take it one step at a time so as not to buy stuff I don't end up using or needing.

I always end up with stuff I don't need at the time but it all gets used eventually.

Any tricks in wrapping exhaust cloth around mufflers and having a mount bracket welded on them? Haven't got to the bracket yet, but planning ahead.

I find it easier to wrap when I get it wet first.

What about getting it around a bracket though? Wouldn't having a bracket end up with a gap in the wrap or a funny pattern in the wrap?

if you double it round the bracket a couple of times it shouldnt be a drama....just try it and see. you can only fuk it up.....half the fun is fukn something up aye.. even if you end up with a funny pattern its still gonna look sweet. thats the beauty of wrap.

My brackets have always been on the muffler and the wrap is only on the header so it didn't come up. You can try and do a couple of wraps round the bracket at an angle and then go back up the pipe and wrap it again but you will end up with a thicker part where the bracket is. Hard to visualise. I need a whiteboard.

Get yourself some latex gloves - the wrap is made of some of the most vile material on the planet. A sort of cross between fibreglass, asbestos, and shards of glass. If you're not wearing gloves, it gets in/under the skin on your hands/fingers, and itches like a bugger. Evil or Very Mad

Sweet, will try all that.

Nearly done welding up one of the new mufflers. My header pipes are chromed, it'll be the mufflers wrapped in cloth.
