| Went to ullrich today and they said 5083 might be abit brittel.They said 7000 series would be better. Also been tolled by another source that 6061 would be good.Is anyone able to clear this up.Also need to know where to get aluminium from.Ullrich quote over $400 for enough 7000 series to make clamps. | |

| Cheers Doug.Have also found a place call Nalco in Auckland.Will try both.Found some on ebay as well.Might look at that option. | |

| What thickness and size are you after? I have some access to pieces. Just let me know what grade temper your after. I'm not surprised the companys will try to sell you the highest grade at the highest price.

im looking to make a set for a springer i need 3 peices 10.5'' x 3.5'' x 1 3/4'' thick 6061 t6 dont supose you could help with this | |

| The thickest I can get is 25mm 1inch unfortunately.

| i wouldnt expect any thing for free but it alwayse pays to shop around can you get a better price than joe average on thicker stuff or only the 1'' | |
