I like to think that if I had a wheel, planisher, beader, tig..etc that I could do the same. But in reality I'd suck, you need years of practice to do work like that and doing one or two bikes a year isn't going to get me there.

I'm a low carbon steel kind of guy, I don't have any experience with welding aluminum and only little with ss. Can someone tell me what filler rod JJ is using to gas weld this tank?

Ive been using steel mainly.Just got to hit it harder.And its cheaper to learn on.Gona try aluminum on next build.http://www.roddingroundtable.com/tech/articles/12ewheel.htmlMy first wheel I made using this as guidance.I used some old electric motor bearings for wheels.

I still remember when CHOPPERS were RIGID, Seems now days any custom built bike is a chopper or bobber.
