Anyway, pistons show evidence of blow by, conrods got heat rash but it should be sweet once I replace the base gasket, thus allowing the engine to retain oil.
So, current missions are:
1) Find a wiseco big bore kit, alot of meat in the bores, could probably get it to 280 without issue, XR owners report a bizzilion Horse power gains from this
2) Split the case, source, and replace, a mother****ing gearshift shaft.
Things that will begin to happen:
Paint tank, black racing stripe on gunmetal I reckon.
Decide what to do about seat and tail.
Bikini fairing possibly/katana type shield.
Clip ons or dirt bike bars.
Remove stock exhaust/rear footpeg mounts to tidy up the lines/declutter rear end.
Kick start conversion, battery removal/replacement.
New headlight, probably do over and unders or something, mismatched side by side.
Fab up a 2 into 1.
