The economy sucks

Will due to nobody buying bikes or parts I now have no job and will be made redundant.I was offered my position back at $7.00less an hour which I told them to stick it,so if anyone needs any fab work as I have a lathe,mill + tig or engine work(mainly harleys + triumphs) I am going to give it a go at working from home and my hourly rate will be way less than where I was working,I already have a little work lined up so when they give me my final day I will be into it cheers doug.

Hopefully it'll be the start of your own business. You won't have the overheads that the dealership had, & there are heaps of Harleys around that need work & servicing. If I was you I would take strong actions to take a big slice of the dealerships servicing pie. A wise preacher from the US once told me that 'business is war' - so go after the spoils mate & don't take any prisoners. The dealership is now your competition. Yes they can still be your mates but that doesn't stop you taking a bigger slice of the pie, it's all part of the reality of business. Since you are undercutting their rate then you have a big advantage.
If anyone asks me about work needing done in Wgtn area I will refer them to you.
Are you going to make a mobile number public, or email address, or something like that, so people can refer work to you?

Yeah, I can also give you some tips for small business and a spreadsheet that takes your income versus expenses etc and automatically calculates your GST.... that's assuming you want to pay tax!
