What is this worth?

A mate has offered me this.. what's it worth (apart from what someone is prepared to pay for it..)

Just a rough estimate, what could get for it resale wise?

Buell 1998 M2 Cyclone 1200cc
40,000kms 'meticulously looked after'
All the paperwork checks out, and no money owing etc..

Buells are a odd bike when it comes to resale, my mate just sold his m1 at the beginning of the year for 4k had 30xxxkms on it. Just after he brought a x1 with 20xxxkms on it for 10k off t.m now you can pick one up for 6-7k. Recon they will be above 8k towards the end of summer. Whats your mate giving it to you for?

Thats about right for those buells, if your not after a quick sale you could make a bit more. Just remember being oil cooled to always check the oil level and do regular changes. And avoid going to a certain harley dealer in newmarket, ive had nothing but trouble with them with my 2002 lightning.
