Hows it goin lads,

I'm another longtime lurker from Hamilton and thought it was about time I'd jumped in and showed you what i've been tutu'ing with in my garage.
It's a 92 Honda vlx 600
Hav'nt seen any on here or know of anyone in kiwiland modding them but just thought it was a good and relatively easy platform to bob.
The builds been on hold coz the missus gave me the hard word..."ya cant touch ya bike until the reno's are done....bitch haha well finally got that outa the way.
So back into it.
Still got a few things to do but its 90% finished. Just need to slap some leather on the seat, extend the front brake cable and get someone to make my exhaust, Anyone know some one in the waikato??
Here's a couple b4 and after snaps.
Might do a build thread over in the projects topic later on if any 1 wants to see
Cheers boys. look forward to maybe rolling with you boys in the future.
Chur.

Brent

Thanks man,
The tail light and plate bracket I actually brought of you a few months ago.
What show would that be?
and as much as i fully like and prefer the fenderless look, I know getting a warrant and what not would be a bitch so ye im looking at a short as poss rear fender possibly a ribbed fender with a bit of a duck tail on it is what I'm thinking of and the bike is hard tailed. just replaced the mono shock with a bar.

Irishjon is organizing a show for garagebuilt bikes, see the general discussions section.
Yeah i thought i recognized the bullet lite side mount bracket. Those are making their way onto all sorts of bikes; someone just told me they're puttin one on a speedmaster.

Cool bike and a nice job. Definitely needs a build thread. We haven't had one for a while. We all started threads a year ago and still havent finished them Laughing

H-Town bobber SouthIslandroadiepart2012

My tyre is a 170/85/15. So is my mates white wall above.

There used to be a load of really nice Shadows and Aces's in Singapore about 15 years ago. The used a lot of those Arlen Ness tail dragger fenders and tall apes. Very cool at teh time. Now they've all got Harleys.

Ye cheers bro. Forgot to add I sust my pipes out a while back.
Went down to coby of Te Rapa and one of the old boys down there bent the pipe into the shape I wanted then I had to weld the flanges and mounts on then finished them off. Got 4" baffles in them for now.

Hey. Shit I haven't been on here in ages.
@Hamiltonseb. Had a guy in Nelson make em for me. I provided the dimensions and he built em. even though he cocked up the 1st ones he was all good about fixing them. Let me know if you want his contacts.
@ mount rebel. Bikes getting over hauled again mate so it's off the rd for a bit. I've stepped into full cert territory so may take a while to get back on the rd. hopefully by summer. It now had a 19" up front with an Avon speed master and the rear now has an 18x180 Harley rim. Need to fit the caliper and a few other things to get it legal again.
Here it is
