Frame blasting and painting Empty
PostSubject: Frame blasting and painting   Frame blasting and painting EmptySun Mar 29, 2015 7:35 pm

So looking at my frame and it would appear we need a little rust removal and it wouldn't suffer a repaint....

Anyone have any recommendations for guys around the Auckland area for this kind of work??

Hey Psychonaut, I can’t help you with blasting the frame, soda or bead blasting I think would be the way? But I’m sure someone will be able to correct me if I’m wrong.

If you get it done and need a hand to paint the frame, give me a yell and I’ll happily help out, got my own gun just need to hire a compressor.

Coops.

I normally get mine blasted and powder coated for around $250. I use a place on Central Park in Henderson. Forget the name.

Cheers, guys..

Seems to be that powdercoating is the way to go... Although, that appears to be one of those hotly debated issues...

Shall check out the Henderson mob, guessing it's these guys: http://www.powdercoating.co.nz/powder-coating-1988-ltd.html ?
