Arnie brings exhausts down to 80db. That's REALLY quiet

Considering that the rest of the world gradually & eventually seems to follow these Californian restrictive bike laws, I don't think this is great news...

If my Harleys had to run on stock pipes I don't think I'd bother having one any more. I'd just build a drag bike and a motocross bike and play on those instead. Maybe getting old is a good thing. They can ban everything when I'm too old to ride

80db is insanely quiet.

The average bar noise is around 88db.

I can play an acoustic guitar louder than 80db.


What are their car loudness rules?

Here in NZ they have gotten tighter on noise regs, and other stuff.
You used to be able to get a wof with a rusty, noisy, smoky car.
Nowadays you have to have your spare wheel bolted down, & your washer bottle full !
They say all the increasing restrictions are to protect us.
I think it's more a matter of control. They want to control us. They secretly want us to ride quiet poofter bikes that are silent & boring.
They had special meetings about this. Then they paid the govt off to pass stupid laws.
The best solution: tinfoil hats. It prevents them controlling your mind & making your bike quiet.

i got myne down to 96Db for the wof & cert and it was so choked up it wouldnt go over 90Kmh. thats dangerous...
it seems to have sorted its self out now with time and goes real well now..
