| Hello! I brought a Honda Rebel through red barron in Auckland for a very reasonable price about 2 weeks ago now. It's my first road bike and ive fallen inlove with the bike and riding. I love the oldschool bobber looking bikes and ive seen alot of cool rebels (mostly in the US) and after many hours on forums and the like, I decided on the theme. I want to build up the bike (slowly but surely) into a bobber but with a modern touch. Pics have been taken on a phone so sorry about the quality. Bike when i first brought it. New bars and risers. Sidemounted plate and stop light. Thanks to Brett (Bret777) and Ben (westendrotangs) for all the help so far! Tom | |

| cheers brett! Ill be getting some of the mini indicators off you soon. Just need to work out how to mount the front ones. Chopping up the seat tomo with ben and then the rear fender. Prob paint it all too, thinking either black or red. I wanna work something out with the speedo mount too so its like this: | |

| yeah they did a nice job there that pic shows how well they change into bobbers aye i see that person went with struts instead of shox i like the white against the black
the good thing about people converting these into bobbers is that it gives people who are just startin out on bikes something cool to ride, better than the usual stock stuff, i wish someone had come up with this stuff when I was on my learner's!

| Bit of an update, we cut up the seat and recoverd it with an inch of foam then bolted it to the frame. Only got a t-shirt wrapped around it atm untill i can be assed to cover it in the black vynl. Its pretty low and sleek down to the frame which is what i was wanting. Love the look. Ive brought some small indicators off Brett (cheers!) which are wired up and going to sit on each side of the fender just behind the seat (not in pic). Ill hopefully buy some for the front too once ive found out how to mount them. Bring on summer! | |

| sweet man, yeah that seat is a nice low profile. I hope you're not using a good metallica or acdc t shirt on it ? ! Are u gonna try and get the guard nice n low looking? And yeah, will be good to change those 'giant orange suns' at the front. Could need some thought, as at the moment they're wired to be on with the headlight aren't they? & then flash as well. I'm thinkin that means they may have dual filament bulbs instead of single filament. If they have 2 power wires to them, maybe you can leave off the wire that keeps them on with the headlight, if you go with single filament indicators. Im just thinkin out loud, no expert on it. Forum member Scotty is a sparky, he might be able to give you some advice about how to go about it. | |

| im thinkin of doin another one of these myself, either a 250 or a 450. i wouldn't mind doin a 450 with low struts on it instead of shocks. i got inspired when i saw this one with the bullet light side mount; hey check out the sound with the pipes chopped at around where the footpegs are - it sounz pretty good. i think that means you could just chop the pipes & put some very basic mufflers on & it wont sound crappy or obnoxious... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hQosdCEKfw8&feature=related | |

happy to hear that, lookin forward to seein the bike when done yeah this is a 450 that i quite like, I reckon a setup like this with a short fender, lowered with struts, sprung seat, side mount bullet lite & plate bracket will look great on a 450 I gotta find a 450 now. none on Trademe...yet...
