Thanks Jon.
It came out a little rounder than I'd liked but it was my first time making that type of seat so pretty happy.
I didn't upholster it but did make the pan and shape the foam. Amazing what you can do with an angle grinder.

I'm just about to make something similar. I want a two piece seat but can't be sure that a bought one would have the right profile to fit the frame so it's better to do it myself.

Ye exactly why I made mine as well. Was easier and cheaper than I thought. Might do a how to thread if anyone's interested.if I could sew it would have cost me $50 to do
