| Got my first officially entered bike yesterday. Andrew is another West Aucklander and is just finishing off his hardtailed 650 Yam. Pics are up on the grinderfest blog. Now I need the same sort of thing for you guys to keep the sponsors happy. Lets have those pics to irishjon@greasemonkeys.co.nzDid I mention we were having Burlesque girls and a Nitro Drag Car cackle fest? Cheers | |

| I don't think I have photos of the bike when I started. Is that a problem?
I'm in Paraparaumu tonight, brought some snow with me from the Naki.

I'm in Paraparaumu tonight, brought some snow with me from the Naki. No problem. Just stick in one of the progress pics. We had three miniature snow flakes in Queen Street yesterday and some woman in Sara's work had a panic attack in case she couldn't drive home. They had to get her to breathe into a paper bag

Before Friday 2nd September you must send in three pictures • A picture of the bike, pile of parts or metal, before you started the build • A picture of the finished (or nearly finished) article • A picture of the builder in the shed, bedroom or kitchen where the bike was built We also need a short write up (around 100 words) telling us what you have built; why you built it; what was your inspiration; how you’d like to use it; and if you’d do it again.
Hey man, Can I just chuck mine in the corner or something? Not in to all this plavar. Don't want to enter the judging or show but can probably get it there.

| Sorry for all the messing y'all about but we have had a few logistical issues and have had to move the dates by a week. The offical dates are the festival starting on Saturday 24th September and finishing off on Saturday 1st October. Grinderfest judging and party will be on Saturday 1st October. I'll have the program later today for everything that will be on that week so I'll get it posted tonight. The sponsor wants to get bikes to be there throughout the week but that won't work for everyone so as a compromise I'll have ' display' bikes that are only there on the actual Grinderfest Saturday and I'll put up a prize for that myself. Hopefully that will cover everyone and I get some bikes that will be there all week. I'll empty my garage and leave my junk in Deus so it looks less empty At least that should leave room in my garage for the Wellington crew when they come up. Thanks again for the support guys. Very much appreciated. | |

| Magic. Thanks for that. Drakulina is bringing his SR as well. I'm getting the entry forms from Shed 5 this morning but most anyone who wants to leave their bike there will get in. The forms and schedule are being sent through this morning so I'll post all the final details this afternoon. I have to go to my day job for a few hours first. What a pain | |

| Jeez this has taken some time. Finally we got the final schedule. Now lets see if the pictures work on here. So this is the event poster. Dates are the festival starting on Saturday 24th September with a kick off party at Shed 5 (Deus as was) in Welesley Street. Awards and wrap party are on Saturday 1st October. To be eligible for the $100 parts voucher and the other Deus Sponsored awatrds, your bike needs to be registered and be at Shed 5 throughout the festival week. For those who can't have their bikes there all week and or aren't worried about being judged, you can turn up on the final Saturday and be eligible for some additional booty from Drakulina at El Boneshaker, Pin Striping from Damien Kurth, and the Monkey Cup from the Auckland Crew. To help the guys at Shed 5 organise the space and confirm just who will actually turn up we need to complete a short registration process. Basically its sending Kim at Shed 5 (or me and I will forward it) some before and after pics of ther project and one with the builder in the place the bike was built. One of us will get back to you with load in details. The event schedule and registration forms are provided below. Drop me an email at irishjon@greasemonkeys.co.nz if you want a PDF version of the pics to hang up in your shed. Thnaks again guys for all the support. I fully intend to party my ass off for the whole week (including going to Rugby World Cup pool matches). See you there. | |
