| Doesn't it get you all fired up when you see the potential in a pile of parts? How about a stretched swing arm cafe racer? | |

| A blank canvas that needs less canvas and more frame? Its a Honda CB250RS. I was going to do the cafe racer thing but every second one of these has been cafed, it needs to be different. I don't quite know how to describe the look I'm after but longer, lower and less (except fork length) is the general idea. I swapped the wheels out of my old TT 250 so its already gone from 18-18 to 21-17 but I think a 16 or 15 rear might be needed to get the look right. As for the rear I'm thinking bobber I'd be up for the challenge of getting that to work and look right but I'm open to suggestion.

| Jon's onto something re;stretching swingarm, that or hardtail it. Personally Im not a fan of swingarms, big heavy shitty unnecesary farkin things!! I recomend drinking beer and angle grinding....not always in that order | |

| So after having a scrounge around for some tyres and a tank I've decided the direction and it seems Jon had half the idea. I didn't really want to cafe it, many of these bikes have been already and I wanted something long n low, stretched bobber. The thing is now I know how I want it to look now I have to make a whole lot of parts to make it work, damn! [img] [/img] | |

| Now I have some direction momentum is building and building is good! Stock forks this time. Ride height not far off and travel is correct. Still liked the look with the straight bars up high like they were on the dirtbike forks so some 12 or more inch risers may be the go. Swingarm stretch... Tank mount relocated... Seat mount relocated Sorry for all the small images/thumbnail links my big boy computer is broken so can only share little kiddy sized pics at the mo. | |

| I decided to move the fuel tank mounts on both the frame and the saddles on the tank it self. To get the tank sitting right and fit around the electrics. So stage 2 of making this work is the front mounts, I had to move the spigot back about 30mm and down about 20 so I came up with this... Lining up and marking position. Plug welds done. Ground back. Stage 3 will be the tank, have decided to do a partial re tunnel so now the tank looks like this... | |

| Ricer this is the best pile of shit I've seen in a long time. Keep up the good work mate. Too many fuckers think adding a set of bars and struts makes them some sort of BIKE builder. (TWATS ) This is what its all about making the stuff yourself and knowing what its going to look like at the end. GOOD FUCKEN ON YA BUD. I look forward to the next instalment. Hey I like skinny chicks with big tits. hehe | |

| Started on the seat pan. Damn these jappa things have some ugly shit hidden by acres of foam, plastic seat bases and coverings, not the easiest to get looking neat hence the roll up on the front. Anyway enough in place to make some useful progress tonight at Cams leather class | |

| Its been a while but changes in my home life mean this project now has a higher priority... Seat back from powder coaters in colour that all the frame will be. Fabricated some stainless screws to bolt it in place. Stance shot... Bobber now has a face, and a friend CB650 Cafe Racer Seat from underneath, showing screws... Adjustable Headlight mount started, need to have a female threaded piece mounted to the bottom of the triple clamp for the adjuster rod (hanging down) to screw in to. | |
