| I have an original dizzy here somewhere,I'll dig it out and see if one of the electronic ign fits,OK had a think about this and the problem is the dizzy runs forward not backwards like the cone motors so the normal ign won't work though I can see why you would want to run an electronic ign go to www.vulcanworks.net and check there ign out I am also onto an 40 amp alternator to fit the genny mtr as I want reliable electrics.Whats the plans for the bike how original is it ?. | |

| its not orignal at all has later front end swing arm and different tank guard etc
would it matter if the dizzy runs backwards? as its only a pick up? aslong as itg geared the same ie half speed as engine | |

| I was going to try a Crane HI4 unit in my Pan, But the rotation issue came up. S&S use a reversed gear in their engines to get around that issue. They sell them but are pretty expensive though. I was going down that road as I have dual plugged heads and couldn't get it to run right with points. It would run but the spark would break down at midrange revs, so back to single plugs and points. Anyway points are OK, spark never breaks down at high revs and I do lots of hard on the motor miles. Wouldn't mind some advice on how to run the two coils though. Tried wiring them in series and parellell, didn't seem to make a difference. Was using Harley electronic coils. Mallory makes an electronic dizzy for Gennie motors. Think it's a straight drop in job. Dualfire only though | |

| kev,go to www.dynaonline.com I'm pretty sure you need 5 ohm coils for points, the electronic coils won't work unless you are using electronic ign. | |
