I saw a right hand sporster case in Doug's other shed asked him if me had the other
half (for progect X) He said yeah I've got a complete set somewere. Shit that reminds
me got to take them out of the Mrs car. Cheers Doug

Irish I brought the lathe new of trademe $1380.00 from chch to wgtn best money I've ever spent,I have a thing for tools got a lot of factory hd tools,jims zippers etc

Excellent deal. I have a few factory tools but I'm starting to build them up. Found some more I needed yesterday when I was rebuilding my Ironhead motor

If so, I must only have a mild case. You going to keep the Indian stock? Have you done one before? I'm having trouble with the carb on mine. Got any tips for setting them up? Have you done a carb Rene?

I have had my share of carb issues with my chief it had an old hd carb that just gave me grief to start when hot,but I after I splashed out an arm and a leg for the correct carb its been pretty good,although its running a bit rich and my plugs regularly need cleaning, never had any issues with my 741b I have a manual you can borrow for the army if you like.
But general rule of thumb is...
1.turn high speed and low speed needles to the right of the bike(clockwise)untill they seat
2.then turn the high speed needle(the one closest to front wheel)left 1and half turns
3.and turn the low speed needle 2 full turns,
that should put you in the best position to slightly tinker with any fine tuning that maybe required..failing this come get my manual.

2.then turn the high speed needle(the one closest to front wheel) I put my right hand out, left 1and half turns
3.and I give my right hand a shake, shake shake and turn the low speed needle 2 full turns.
And I turn myself about.

Hey Rene. Sorry I haven't been at home much over the last coulple of weeks but I have found that soft copy of the W650 manual. Too big to email but I can give you a copy on a memory stick.
