Well I got this thing running for the first time the other night so I figure its about time I start a build thread here

Just ran it for a couple seconds to make sure everything is in order and give me some inspiration to finish it up.

Whats left is:
weld bung on oil tank
make up a couple oil fittings
finalise brake and clutch linkages
decide on which gas tank to run Smile always the biggest question

also, here is a little ride video on another bike I finished up recently. There's a bike walk around at the end.

Yeah, that's way cool. I ride that track quite a bit... good to blow the cobwebs away. My bike goes in for compliance Monday week. [Gulp]! Interesting to watch that video from the perspective of somone behind you. Where do you live Kong? Eastern suburbs somewhere?

In the process of finishing up my bars. Welded them up and made the decision to blend in the joint. I was kinda unsure about it but I think I like them like this. Also quickly ground away the headlight mount hole. Still might do some more shaping but now the hard part is finishing the other side so it matches.

Hey Kong. I'm in Brooklyn (Mitchell Street) - just a stone's throw away. When I'm complied (hopefully by end of tomorrow) we should hook up. Would love to see more of your build. It looks frickin awesome. Would love a bike like that.

Thanks for the comments guys!

got my oil and carb leak sorted last night and ran the knuck. fires up easy and sounds awesome! Need to get some pipes on it. Now I have a lot of work ahead of me. on the lookout for some megaphones or cocktail shakers

finish brake linkage

clutch linkage and left footpeg

clean my tanks and mount them, still undecided on which tank to run. I like the small tank but it only holds a gallon or 4 litres. Not sure yet if thats too small for me but it looks great. Going with the original tank would simplify some things like the mounting and I could use the original dash set up etc

I should finish the handlebars, just the touch up work left so I can go get it chromed. WOuld like it to be chromed and ready before I run the cables inside etc so I dont need to pull them out and redo them later on.

um, and exhaust. is that it?

front brake

i guess thats about it

ah, fix a sheared stud on the gearbox

a lot of things to do

might try to shoot a little video of it running today

thanks a lot guys. Just wanted to hear it one last time before I take it apart again to take out the gearbox to fix one of the mount studs and to fit my clutch pedal stuff.

Does anyone know where I can get a small oil pressure gauge? The kind I can mount down low off the oil pump. Something about 35mm across and can just take a short hard line to the oil pump. You know what I mean? I see it all the time just need the right kind.

Hey Guys,

So I'm really close to getting this thing vinned and resistered. Have taken it out for a couple rides trying to iron out the kinks. Still a few left to keep me busy.

I know it wont pass Wof with an open primary but will they give me any trouble for a jockey shift/suicide clutch (a real one)? Any one have experience with this?

Will put a front guard on for the wof as well.

Here's a couple pics and thanks for all the help. Hope to get the knuck out for a meet up soon.
