Gidday.
I saw this forum recently and spent ages reading projects etc and it impressed the hell outta me.
Ive ridden on and off for about 18 years. No road bike at the mo cause I went racing for a few years in motards and buckets. Im trying to sell my last race bike - KTM motard. Im over fast street bikes.
I was a car mechanic for 12 years and have done some work in basic fabrication and also worked as a fitter for a bit, helped my mate build a Dodge hemi rod last year. I want to learn to TIG and metal shape. Making stuff to fix machines and patch up trace cars aint like pretty custom bike stuff.
I want a bobber or project bike so Ill keep my eyes open. The what I want vs can afford gap is the common issue but so many bikes seem to customize well.
see yas on the forum.

Welcome aboard Cletus. Sounds like you have the bug that so many others on here are suffering from There's nothing quite like building something with your bare hands, very satisfying indeed. Good luck to ya and keep us up to date with your new purchase.

Any lanky pants got a suggestion?
My knuckle/pan dream will have to wait. Such is life eh.

Have a look at some of the Honda Rebels that Brett777 has built. Bigger than a GN and a fair few around.
