Tat for the tank?

hey i like your design work. given that my other vocation is a Pastor, it's prob not the right thing for me to have on the tank! (altho it is my sentiment sometimes lol)
im thinkin a 'logo' of sorts, that says "Rebel Bobber" kinda like renaming the bike, like Deus do etc
i dont have photoshop tho
vintage styled bullets. the front triple tree Honda chrome cover is off at the mo cos im blanking out the honda letters & matt blacking it

Draw something up with a pencil, rough sketch is fine, and I can make it up more proper.

gettin there, some more to do yet, blacking out headers, lower kickstand, wiring, more sanding & painting

that bike looks like a bit of good old fun..

should be a winner..

wasn't fun when the kickstand wouldnt come off! had to drill the bolt out...several drill bits later...
but yeah, im surprised how well these 450's go, & they actually sound real good too

fender painted, headers blacked out, now add extra fender mount bolt, wiring, cosmetics etc

Where do you get those exhausts?

Do they have baffles and much back pressure?

thanx Eel. they have the usual minimal American baffles, so I put harley baffles in the front AND rear of them to get the back pressure, they sound real good too ! quite throaty sound. they are pretty much your garden variety shorties, heaps of different suppliers. had to put an extra sleeve round the harley baffles: I used reducer adaptors on one end & cut the end off their crap baffle for the sleeve on the other end. will pm u details.

thanks dude. the stock rear tyre on this 89 Honda is fatter than my 03 Sportster

Is there any way to get a similar rear fender look, but maintain rear suspension? I don't think just chopping the fender would work...

Almost would need to attach the fender to the swing arm and have it moving with the wheel maybe!

yes if u wanna have that look & keep the rear suspension that's exactly what u have to do. in that case you would have struts coming up from your swingarm to the sides of the fender, & attach the front of the fender down in the wishbone part of the swingarm.

pretty much finished now, few little things to tidy up

I see it's up for sale.


What would have been cool would been a "Grease Monkey Customs" logo on the tank.

I was riding it last nite, so much fun! lots more attention from people than when riding my Sportster & maybe even more fun?!

anyway a kid flagged me down "my Dad wants to build one of those can u come in and meet him"
said ok.

...his Dad has 2 Sporties, one is a really nice ironhead, he had asked a question on my struts auction about 5mins before I went out riding - that's one of those 'God incidences' that most of you would call coincidences but they happen to me all the time, so Ive learnt it's not just coincidence

You haven't specified what sort of design you want for that!

As ever Brett I'm impressed. I do like that skull and spanners logo though. I think we should use it for something. Stickers maybe. Definitely have to get something on the bikes and us for Kumeu.

yeah it is a well designed logo, i have to admit, even tho i am a self confessed not lover of skullisticism

interesting the difference between stock & bobbed when u put 'em alongside each other
