| I got pissed off at it again today so I have been on the computer all night instead of fighting with bad tempered old bikes. | |

| I go to Paeroa every year, be good to catch up with anyone else whos going.
John, when I got your pan started I gave it about 8 pumps on the gas then held the throttle wide open, enough to flood it then lean out with each kick until the mixture is right so it will run.
I had a really good time at Kumeu, got to meet a few people I haven't met before, cheers to everyone that attended.

Did you catch up with Andy? He arrived just as we were packing up. He was having a blast.

Cheers Paul. I'll try it that way this week. I ordered new points, capacitor and leads today just to make sure it was all good.

| US$303 is a great price for that dizzy though. Looks good to but then I'd have to buy coils as well. Might try it if I wasn't broke after Christmas. Mayber later in the year! | |

| Shaun came round on Friday night and we had another go at the Pan. I still can't kick it with my dodgy knee but I'm working on building that up. Shaun can get it going after a couple of kicks now so we had a run up and down the street on it. Very cool but it'll take a bit of getting used to, lifting your leg up so high to push in the clutch and then balance that when you've got it in gear. Motor seems to go well. Now to sort out the leaks in the rear brake line. Hey Shaun. I worked out what that banging noise was. Turns out is was the fuel filter banging against the head. I'm relieved that it was nothing mechanical. | |

| Ahh yes that makes sense now, its right there. i think the key to starting the mag is to get it turning over fast enough so it can generate a charge, i think you need an electric start, hey i know i'll swap your 4 speed kicker for my 5 spd elec? ha ha | |
