| I was looking at ordering some new bars from the Handlebar Company. I have noticed harley bars all seem to have indents in them... http://www.thehandlebarcompany.com/harley1inch/pn117_lrg.jpgAre the indents for the purpose of sitting your hand controls in the correct position? Just my guess, as the 1" bars I've worked with have just a small hole drilled into them and hand controls have a knub that sits into it. | |

| it's for the later model Harleys (probably evo onwards...? who knows) where when you clamp up the controls with their securing bolts, you need some space for the wires to exit outta the controls. With other bikes you would just ignore the dimples unless you need them. If you want Harley bars without dimples then just buy ones that are for earlier models. (sorry dunno what year it changed but someone on here might know). | |

| I thought he was in Nelson, he made my bars to my dimensions, great job too... he will put holes, dimples or leave out if required... whatever you like if its custom you’re after, if off the shelf, as they come, just ignore.. He complained to me about being too busy, he started this as a retirement gig and it took off, not bad Aye. | |
