On the hunt for a donor Harley

Hi - here's the plan.

Mike's making me one of his hardtail frames.

I'm on the lookout for a donor Harley (most likely a Sportster 883 or 1200, but other models considered). I want a complete bike, not parts, and the engine must be sound.

If you know of anyone selling or thinking of selling please let me know. PM me if you prefer.

I'm looking on trademe every five minutes for the deal of the century and there are a few options there. Quite a few being sold out of Christchurch at the mo. There's one outfit down there which lists a Harley pretty much every week starting at $1 reserve.

Anyway, any help or leads through your networks appreciated.

go for a 95on model as these have 5 speed gearboxe's,won't matter if its an 883 as you could bore it out to 1200.Those auctions in chch are lindsay williamson's and why not look on ebay as I see evo sporty mtrs on there cheap and good to see you are turning to the dark side eel lol

Yep, looked at yours a few times and watched the youtube clip. Sounds great. Hoping I can get something suitable around the $5K mark.

yeah i hope so i think its got some good style going on just hope he dont ruin it with iron cross mirrors nd matching tail light ha ha
yip the mrs was out she came home during the "photo shoot" nd didnt even question it humm mabe i shod park me other 1in the kitchen and see how long it lasts

Hey Cam - the hunt continues. Have a fair idea of what I can get for my money. Just got to wait for some funds to clear! Mike's starting on my frame.
