doese anyone know if a o8 nightster axle would be metric ie 20mm or the norm 3/4

08m were 25mm front and rear apparently

you'd think it would be a simple bearing change. someone on the xl forum asked the same thing. heres the reply to it.

Yes, you can use other wheels. However do some measuring first on the old and new wheels before getting the bearings. The depth of the bore that the bearings sit in changed over the years. This means you will need different thickness bearings depending on the model year of the bike. You need to make sure that the distance between the bearing outer faces (measured through the axle hole) is the same afterwards. This might also mean a new axle sleeve

aw long story that one. i grabed it cause i didnt want to use my spokes on my mrs bike but turned out your one had a slighlty different hub so didnt fit. never mind...chuck it on the parts wall...lost my spokes tho dam it.. never mind.
