| Practically anything works but best to use some sort of rubber cement as that allows what you're sticking to move around a bit and not be affected by vibrations. | |

| ok so I went to hardware store & the only thing I can find that says it glues rubber to metal is kwik grip contact glue. Im not sure about it. There are also some epoxy based araldites there. Would it be best to abrase the surfaces a bit first? Anyone actually done this ? (glued knee rubbers to a tank painted in lacquer) Im in the process of painting the tank & I dont wanna stuff up the paintjob with a failed gluing job. Help please. | |

| heck man i rang repco & asked the guy if they had any weatherstrip glue & he asked me what a weatherstrip was GRRRRRRRRRRRRR anyway, all suggestions welcome, there must be some old britbike fanatic that comes on this forum that's glued knee rubbers on a tank before ??? !!! | |

yeah, epoxy based though so the only way it would ever come off the tank again would be with a grinder | |

| ADOS F2 contact adhesive.thin coat on both surfaces..........let it dry.........stick it on.ya only get one shot at it though.used it to glue rubber seals and gaskets on machinary for years. | |

| would silicon work for this? i use it at work, and i cant see why it wouldnt hold them in place, and also not leave marks if u removed.. | |
