| I called into Harley Speed and Custom today and got talking with Mike the shop owner. As he was showing me all of his projects we came across this interesting pipe he had for one of his said projects and the name rang a bell, Its called a Brooklands Can. Here's a link to making one.http://www.allmetalshaping.com/showthread.php?t=315&page=5
Oh and Irish you have to come and meet this man next time your down this way, He has some of the most unusual projects you will ever see (and I mean that in the nicest possible way Mike)

Yeah that's the ticket alright Jon, Then you'll never see your part on another bike. Unless it's a cheap copy. And at the end of the day why buy it if you can make it yourself. Or if your like me why buy it when you really couldn't afford it anyway

| Ah mate I'd use stainless steel bar/pipe for that if I was you. And make sure you get the 316 grade too it don't tarnish like the 304 shite. | |

Yeah easy as, Have a look through the yellow pages for a supplier up that way, Or have a look on Trade Me you can often pick up off cuts on there for next to nothing. If you get stuck Ive got some 1 1/4" solid bar here, Its tuff stuff to machine and you'll need a coolant pump on your Lathe to stop your drill bits burning out.
