my 2nd bike(after a Vespa) was the suzuki road version of the ss50, cant remember what the model was. it was green & had little chequered flags on the sidecovers. it was slow as anything but i loved it & had a lotta fun on it. tried goin on the motorway with it one time, with a mate as pillion...we ended up travelling on the shoulder part of the m'way.
after i went to a yamaha dt250. and then (embarassingly) a gn400.

Wasn't that one of those fast 50s like they have in Deus? Much faster overhead cam version of the SS50?

Brilliant link Brett. Some very cool Sporties. I have seen some of the bikes before but I haven't seen any of those pics. Lots of inspirational stuff there. Especially liked all the skinny little bikes and how they all seemed to be having a ball.

I blame old age.
Just had another look and you were right. The bike at the start is an SS50. I still have a spare tank for one of those lying around Ireland somewhere.

Ireland is quite a big place. Do you think the spare tank is up North, or further down South?
