A couple of you said you were interested in how long it would take to sell. It sold first time round after running for 2 weeks, on buy now on the last day of the auction. Then a week passed & I was wondering if the buyer was going to pay...payment came through today.
So I think there's a market for customized bikes. Maybe the grease monkeys coop could sell built up bikes as well as services. Wouldnt be too hard to undercut Deus...
(nothing against Deus, I like their stuff, but there must be room for other chopper shops in the nz market). I know there's some out there already, but i just dont see a lot of their one off custom stuff for sale in the mainstream - maybe most is 'to order' stuff like hardtail conversions rather than 'spec bikes'? But what about doing conversions & then selling them? Marcell on the north shore was doing them but Im not sure what happened to him, anyone know?
Just thinkin out loud here...
